How am I meant to get away from evil zergers, if I can't steal their mounts? The rage messages afterward

During the first release of darkfall a world war happened (CoC vs. Hyperion). It drove some people out of the game, but that wasn't a big drop and most of them came back. Biggest population sink were when the game-mechanics were in a very imbalanced state, and later when the american server launched.

what screen resolution do you have? I think I can see it, but most part is cutted off (in fullscreen mode, window mode is worse).

greatly done, thanks ehrgeiz Maybe you could lower the resolution, or is 1680x1050 already old? I don't see the whole picture, the ork gets cutted of on his right ear, from the human I can only see the arm.

Stats are important, but high weapon skills and high spells have a bigger impact. With higher vitality you may survive some seconds longer. With higher weapon mastery you can kill your oponent and stop him from doing you damage.
